Split

Hello dear!

As you maybe noticed on Instagram, this summer I had really nice holiday in beautiful Split and Šolta(Croatia). I was there for two weeks total and I enjoyed it so much.

First we stayed for 6 days in Split. It has been some time since I went there last time, and I must say it has changed a lot. There is so many more bars and restaurants now, really good looking! Split was always a beautiful city for me, and whenever I go there a feel a great vibe. There is something about Dalmatia that just makes you relaxed and happy like anywhere else.

I went there with friends and we stayed at my friends grandmas house, which was really lovely. We ate fresh food right from their garden and amazing fish. We were focused on walking around the city a lot, and just went to the beach few times because we knew that on Šolta we will do nothing but lie on the beach all day long. Also, the architecture of Split is gorgeous, many historical buildings and places there to feed your soul. The old city is surrounded with old city walls, and there is beautiful Diocletians palace. My favourite is colorful Prokurative, also in city centre. We went to the beach twice, once to Znjan and once to Marjan. Znjan is full of bars but has clear sea, even tough it was really too noisy for my taste. Marjan is a big area full of running tracks, bars, playgrounds, etc. People go there to be active but also to relax as you can lie under the pine trees and hear nothing but sound of crickets.

If you go to Split I would recommend June and September, since in the middle of the season the city is really crowded. It can also get a bit pricey but you can make it economical if you find a good house to stay from Airbnb, or if you have friends there even better 🙂

I want you to see the photos because words cannot really describe the beauty as good 🙂

Hope you like it!

Love,

Ela
